STROUD TWP., Pa. – Fire broke out at a home in Monroe County overnight.

Crews were called to the 100 block of Larsens Lane in Stroud Township just before 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

Firefighters spent hours trying to put out the blaze and about 13 fire departments were called in to help.

There’s no water supply in the area so several tankers had to be brought to the scene as well.

No one was hurt.

No word yet on what started the fire.

A federal program designed to help families achieve self-sufficiency has officially opened in Phillipsburg.

The local EnVision Center is the first in New Jersey and one of only a few dozen nationally.

The centers are developed through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and meant to make local and federal resources accessible in one place, helping individuals and families who need help finding a job, furthering their education, improving their health or developing leadership skills.

Assemblyman Erik Peterson intends to decide whether he’ll run for Rep. Tom Malinowski’s seat by early January.
