The Separation from Evil Philosophy, or, How to Become The Monsters You Hate

On a reddit Christianity thread, one user posted this quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.

Excerpt from
“Noncooperation with evil is as much a moral obligation as is cooperation with good.” -Martin Luther King, Jr

“To our most bitter opponents we say: ‘We shall match your capacity to inflict suffering by our capacity to endure suffering. We shall meet your physical force with soul force. Do to us what you will, and we shall continue to love you. We cannot in all good conscience obey your unjust laws, because noncooperation with evil is as much a moral obligation as is cooperation with good. Throw us in jail, and we shall still love you. Bomb our homes and threaten our children, and we shall still love you. Send your hooded perpetrators of violence into our community at the midnight hour and beat us and leave us half dead, and we shall still love you. But be ye assured that we will wear you down by our capacity to suffer. One day we shall win freedom, but not only for ourselves. We shall so appeal to your heart and conscience that we shall win you in the process, and our victory will be a double victory.’ ”

I assume that the one posting this quote at this time is challenging Christians to separate from the evil. I am also assuming that the evil is, broadly speaking, the evil of the racists that have done this thing that set off these latest rounds of civil disobediance and not-so-civil disobedience.

If I am correct, this might be a theme you will see repeated among the authoritarian left, this appeal to Christians to accept the radical, authoritarian strain of sjw as the only hope for ending the racist and bigoted evil that has descended our land.

The first step is to establish that it is a Christian thing to separate from people of evil, the second step is to assure that the definition of evil describes almost to a tee the potential political factional rivals of the current flavor of leftist authoritarianism. The task is not terribly challenging in that, like every major coercive enterprise governance political faction that ever existed and will ever exist, there are multile highly coercive, highly authoritarian factions within the major factions.

For the right, they have the overt, direct racists, as opposed to the authoritarian left, which has their own faction of white supremacists, the white sjw ally revelling in their superior role of white savior. These factions make it relatively easy to broadstroke the epiteth of racist on all political folks that don’t favor total and complete state control over the lives and minds of all for the task of ending the racisms and the sexisms.

This post might be indicitive of nothing, but it might, if I am right, be one of the first signs of the new narrative, which follows the old narrative of ‘deplatform’ and ‘delegitimize’ with ‘aggressively fight evil or be considered evil yourself, and face the same wrath we are commanding you to carry out against your now determined evil neighbors, friends, and family.
